Get tips for secure connections and support options if needed." --- # Connect Nutrient Workflow to an external SQL Server database In order to connect Nutrient Workflow to your SQL Server Database, you will need to have your network team allow traffic from 54.174.134.151 through the firewall on whatever port your database server instance is running on. Then you will need to [set up a database source in Nutrient Workflow](https://www.nutrient.io/guides/workflow-automation/admin-guide/settings/database-sources.md). It is recommended that you use a secure connection.
