set
Padding set on this view, by fitSystemWindows for the system bars or by a host that keeps the grid clear of its own chrome, becomes the composition's edge insets: the grid keeps painting under it and its cells stay clear of it, so a host toolbar floating over the grid has thumbnails scrolling underneath instead of a strip of the document showing through.
