1.22 release notes
RSSNutrient Document Authoring SDK 1.22 adds bookmarks, table of contents support, portable document locations, programmatic zoom, exact and at-least line spacing, performance improvements, and fixes.
Bookmarks and table of contents
The SDK supports bookmarks and hyperlinks to bookmarks. It preserves supported range bookmarks through DOCX, ODT, and RTF import and export. Links to bookmarks also work in exported PDF and HTML output.
The editor also supports table of contents entries. Users can insert a table of contents from the toolbar. Imported entries stay editable, and the context menu can regenerate entries from the current headings and page numbers.
For toolbar guidance, refer to the bookmarks and table of contents guide.
Portable document locations
Portable document locations enable applications to point to a specific paragraph or text range in a saved document. Create them from saved DocJSON or from editor.find.search() results.
Use editor.navigateTo() to reveal a location without changing the current selection, and use editor.addVisualHighlight() to show a temporary highlight without changing document content.
For examples and result handling, refer to the document locations guide.
Programmatic zoom
Applications can now read and set editor zoom with editor.getZoom() and editor.setZoom(factor). Use these APIs when your app embeds the editor in constrained layouts or wants documents to open at a specific scale.
For an integration example, refer to the events and integration guide.
Line spacing
The editor now supports exact and at-least line spacing. The toolbar can set both modes, and the SDK preserves them through DOCX, ODT, RTF, and HTML import and export. The SDK upgrades older DocJSON documents when it loads them.
Performance improvements
Typing text and moving the cursor are more responsive because the editor waits less before layout and visible page rendering.
Fixes
- Fixes a toolbar crash when pasting HTML with unsupported CSS colors.
- Fixes numbered lists set to restart continuing the previous list after a DOCX roundtrip.
- Fixes pasted HTML colors appearing incorrectly in exported Word documents.
- Fixes rejecting tracked text or paragraph formatting changes leaving the new formatting applied after saving as DocJSON or exporting to DOCX.
