How do I manually remove the Conversion Service?

The following is a ‘last resort’ only. It is not advisable to remove the service without the use of the official Muhimbi (un)installer unless you are on a ‘pre-8.0’ release. Always talk to support@muhimbi.com first.

If you somehow ended up with a corrupt installation and you cannot uninstall the Conversion Service using the ‘Add / Remove programs’ control panel then please follow these steps.

  1. If you have your services.msc open then please close it.

  2. Remove the service reference using the following command:

    sc delete “DocumentConverterService”

  3. Delete the “Muhimbi Document Converter” folder from your “program files” folder.

  4. Reinstall the software.
