Office 2019 Compatibility with Muhimbi Document Converter

Microsoft Office 2019 is compatible with the Muhimbi Document Converter for SharePoint On-Premises and Document Converter Services On-Premises with the following restrictions:

  • It must be Microsoft Office 2019 Professional Plus and activated with the product key.
  • The Click-to-Run (CTR) version is not acceptable.
  • The user must follow configuration guides to ensure everything is set up appropriately.

Troubleshooting

Follow these steps if you’re experiencing any issues with configuration:

  1. Log in to the machine as the ConversionService user.
  2. Stop the Conversion Service.
  3. Start a command prompt (CMD) as an administrator.
  4. Navigate to the installation folder of the Muhimbi Document Converter product (usually c:\Program Files\Muhimbi Document Converter).
  5. Start the Muhimbi.DocumentConverter.Service.exe file (this will start the service in interactive mode).
  6. Convert one of each type of Office document using the Diagnostic Tool.
  7. Observe any popup windows appearing and act accordingly (i.e. click them away, accept privacy terms, etc.)
  8. Press a key in the command window, which will stop the service in interactive mode.
  9. Start the Muhimbi Document Converter Service normally.
