Q2 2026 was the quarter Nutrient built for a new user: the AI agent. Across the platform, releases turned document capabilities into something agents can discover, call, and build on — while keeping output that teams can verify and humans can review. The throughline is simple: built for agents, trusted by humans.
In this session, we walk through what shipped, what it does, and where it fits.
- Data Extraction API — Turn complex documents into structured, verifiable data. Output as Markdown or spatial JSON, with a confidence score and a source citation on every extracted value, across four processing modes — available as a cloud API, embedded in the SDKs, or self-hosted.
- The headless Web SDK — Every capability the viewer has is now in the public API. Customize the built-in UI through a complete slot system, or run headless, with an agent driving it directly — with each release verified to work for AI agents from the public types alone.
- Meeting agents where they build — A set of releases that put Nutrient inside the tools agents already use: a local Web SDK MCP server, the benchmark-leading
pdf-to-markdownskill, an agent-assisted quick start, and the open source agentic-usability benchmark. - Document Authoring AI — Add AI editing to a document editor without losing control. Every AI edit runs through the editor’s transaction API and lands as a tracked change a person accepts or rejects — model-neutral, with adapters for the Vercel AI SDK and LangChain.
- Governance and human review — Workflow Automation added an AI Form Review agent, access control for the assistant, and API-key security with audit logs — alongside a more capable document editor (spellcheck, command palette, shapes, and more formats) for the human in the loop.
- .NET and the platform — PowerPoint templating, tagged-PDF accessibility, and major speed gains in the .NET SDK, plus continued rendering, signing, and reliability improvements across the mobile and cross-platform SDKs.
Watch on demand
See how each release fits into a single document platform — one agents can build on, and one humans can trust to review and approve the result — and how teams can adopt what they need without rebuilding the parts that already work.
