Form field support in our iOS viewer
To fill in a text form element:
- Tap the text form element.
- Type text using either the onscreen keyboard or an attached hardware keyboard.
- Tap either the Done button above the keyboard or any blank area on the page. This deselects the form element and commits the changes.
Text form fields rotated in 90-degree increments can be edited while preserving their displayed orientation.
If the field has formatting validation rules, these apply on deselection. An alert appears if the entered text doesn’t pass validation rules.
To set the value of a choice form element (a list or combo box), tap the element. Then select an item from the list, or type in a custom item.
To enable or disable a checkbox form element, tap it to toggle its state.
To set the selection of a radio button form element, tap the desired item.
To add a signature to a signature form element, tap it and then use the Electronic Signatures UI.
While a form element is selected (focused), use the left and right arrows above the keyboard to move the focus. This cycles sequentially through all the form elements on the page.
